I. COLLECTION OF INFORMATION This policy explains in detail how “XRD Forums” (hereinafter “we”, “us”, “our”, “XRD Forums”, “https://forum.xrd.sh”) and phpBB (hereinafter “they”, “them”, “their”, “phpBB software”) use any information collected during your usage sessions. Your information is collected via two primary methods: i. Automated Cookies: Browsing “XRD Forums” causes the phpBB software to create cookies stored in your browser's temporary files. These include a user identifier (user-id), an anonymous session identifier (session-id), and a tracker to mark which topics you have read to improve your experience. ii. Extension Cookies: Usage of the mChat (live chat) extension or other board add-ons may create additional cookies to manage real-time communication and display preferences. iii. User Submissions: We collect information you voluntarily submit to us, including registration details, public posts, and messages sent via the mChat interface. II. ACCOUNT DETAILS i. Minimum Requirements: Your account requires a uniquely identifiable name, a personal password, and a valid email address. ii. Optional Data: Any additional information requested during registration is at our discretion, and you generally have the option to choose what information is displayed publicly. iii. Email Preferences: Within your account settings, you may opt-in or opt-out of automatically generated emails from the board software. III. LIVE CHAT (MCHAT) i. Data Logging: When using the mChat extension, your messages are stored in our database to facilitate the live conversation history. ii. Visibility: Messages sent in public chat rooms are visible to other users. We reserve the right to log and archive these messages for moderation purposes. IV. SECURITY AND PASSWORDS i. Encryption: Your password is secured via a one-way hash. ii. Responsibility: You are responsible for guarding your password. No one affiliated with XRD Forums or phpBB will ever legitimately ask you for it. iii. Recovery: If you lose your password, you may use the recovery feature which requires your username and email to generate a reset link. V. DATA PROTECTION i. Storage: Your information is stored in a secure database and is protected by data-protection laws applicable in the country hosting our servers. ii. Third Parties: We do not disclose your personal information to third parties under any circumstance, unless mandated by a warrant. We are not responsible for data compromised via external hacking attempts.
